AT TURNING POINT CHURCH,

GOD BRINGS GIFTED PEOPLE TOGETHER WITH VARIOUS MINISTRIES

TO ACCOMPLISH THE MISSION OF THE CHURCH

AS CALLED MINISTERS, WE USE OUR SPIRITUAL GIFTINGS, OUR PERSONAL INTERESTS, AND OUR SACRIFICE OF TIME, TO PROMOTE THE KINGDOM OF GOD

NEVER HESITATE TO GET INVOLVED  -  YOU WILL BE TREMENDOUSLY BLESSED AS YOU BECOME A BLESSING

CARE MINISTERS:  People involved in Care Ministry have a 'heart' gift.  They are naturally drawn to others in crisis, providing much needed encouragement such as personal prayer during surgeries and medical procedures, visitation of the sick or homebound, help to the shut-ins, emotional support for those suffering loss, and assistance with meals or other practical necessities.  Care ministers consistently make the comfort and well-being of others a top priority.  ("By this we know love, because He laid down His life for us.  And we also ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.  My little children, let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and truth."  1 John 3:16,18)

HOSPITALITY MINISTERS: The focus of the Hospitality Minister is simple, but so important - to make everyone who walks through the door of the church feel at 'home'.  These folks enjoy getting to know people and embracing others as friend and family!  Hospitality Ministers are often used as Greeters at the front door or as Ushers at the altar.  Because they are always offering a hand of fellowship, the Hospitality Ministers are engaged in planning special events, such as holiday dinners, fellowship meals and receptions.  ("And the King will answer and say to them, 'Assuredly, I say to you inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.'"  Matthew 25:40)
Ministry Lead: Bonnie Hatfield

WORSHIP MINISTERS: Worship Ministers shoulder the awesome responsibility of creating an atmosphere that exalts the Lord of Glory, welcomes Him as honored guest and ushers the believers into His glorious presence.  Anyone who can play an instrument, sing, dance, clap, or assist in the sound room or with the video system is invited to be a Worship Minister.  In fact, each of us is considered a 'minister of worship' as we glorify the One who is so worthy of our adoration and praise!

("Give to the Lord, O families of the peoples, give to the Lord glory and strength.  Give to the Lord the glory due His name; Bring an offering and come before Him.  O worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness!"  1 Chronicles 16:28-29)
Ministry Lead: Bonnie Hatfield

FACILITIES MINISTERS: The Facilities Ministers serve the church family, as well as the community, as they strive to make the church attractive and comfortable for everyone.  These ministers consider their labor to be an act of worship to the Lord.  Anyone participating as a Facilities Minister is conscious of odd jobs around the church, working diligently to insure that any needful repairs are given adequate attention and are completed in a timely manner.

("Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might..."  Ecclesiastes 10:9)

EMPOWERMENT MINISTERS: The Empowerment Ministers are gifted in the area of teaching and mentoring others as they place their total dependence and supreme confidence in God's Word as the foundation of power for the church body.  They work together to enable, as well as disciple, God's children to live according to Godly principles.  All Empowerment Ministers strive to discipline themselves and to help others develop strength of character that responds positively to life in word and practice, increase faith so as to exert power and control over negative influences and demonic forces, and prepare for spiritual battle through prayer and praise.  They are anointed and called of God to equip varying age groups for the work of the ministry and tirelessly sacrifice their time and energy for the spiritual growth of others.  The Bible is the Empowerment Minister's textbook as he or she guides others in the Way of the Lord.

("And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of the ministry for the edifying of the body of Christ."  Ephesians 4:11-12)
Ministry Lead: Pastor Jerry

AGAPE MINISTERS: The desire of the Agape Minister is to reach unsaved individuals with the Good News that God loves them and has provided a way to be saved through the Lord Jesus Christ.  Working as an Agape Minister provides many opportunities for believers to tell others about what God has done for them.  Love motivates the Agape Minister.  Their love for God and their love for people continually inspire them to be His hands extended, meeting the needs of others both physically and spiritually.  When practical needs are met, the love of God will become real to all who benefit from the efforts of the Agape Minister.

("Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others."  Phillipians 2:4)
